Rieveschl is a recent college graduate who is just starting her career in public relations. Rieveschl graduated from the University of Mississippi in 2020. While attending the university, she majored in integrative marketing and communication studies. Shortly after graduating, she moved to New Orleans, LA and started interning for Gamble Communications. Within the year she started working as a communications associate, and a few months after that she became a full time communications associate. A few months ago, Rieveschl was promoted to a communications coordinator.

As a communications coordinator, Rieveschl has a number of responsibilities. She is incharge of all communications between her client and the media. She handles the majority of the creative work for the company. She comes up with a lot of the design projects for the company and its clients. She creates graphics and designs web pages for the clients and the company. She also writes weekly newsletters for Gamble Communications and a number of her clients.

Rieveschl specializes in social media and crisis management. She spends nearly half of her day working on social media related projects. She also spends a large portion of her day communicating with the media for her clients.

Rieveschl has multiple accounts and clients that she works with daily. Each client and account is unique, and has different needs depending on their business goals. The company that Rieveschl works for is a full service public relations agency that can help almost any business reach their PR goals.

Gamble Communications specialized in communication strategy, media, community, and government relations. This company uses social media and special events to promote and increase their public appearance. Gamble Communications helps their clients with branding concepts and marketing strategies. This company also handles crisis situations by communicating with the media and managing communications after the crisis has occurred.

In 2013 Gamble Communications was named the Small Business Administration’s Women Business Champion of the Year for outstanding public relations services. The founder of Gamble Communications, Bestie Gamble, has also been recognized multiple times b The New Orleans Advocate and ADORE Magazine for being one of the most influential people in New Orleans.

As a communications Coordinator social media plays a large role in Rieveschl’s work responsibilities. Some of these responsibilities include designing for websites, making graphics, writing a newsletter that releases weekly for Gamble Communications, and handling lots of communication regarding the media and her clients. Rieveschl’s niche is social media and crisis management.

Lots of Rieveschl’s work is embedded in social media. In fact she spends ⅓ to ½ of her time on any given day using social media for her work responsibilities. A typical day for Rieveschl at Gamble Communications varies from day to day depending on her clients needs and their accounts. For social media clients Rieveschl is responsible for developing strategies, creating content calendars, making graphics, and sourcing. She also monitors her client’s social media for various comments and inquiries. Rieveschl also is involved in Facebook and Linked advertising. For these sites she comes up with strategic strategies for ads, she creates the ads, schedules the ads, and keeps up with key performance indicators (KPI). Rieveschl is involved with crisis management, strategies made to control a crisis, and makes statements if necessary. Gambel Communications and Rieveschl use Sprout Social, a tool for managing media similar to hootsuite, which helps her with her daily activities.

As for the public relations aspect of her job at Gamble Communications she is also responsible for various different things. Some of these include writing press releases, writing media alerts, creating strategies for marketing, creating public relations strategies, outlining the coming plans for clients, projecting budgets and designing presentation decks or packets. Gamble Communications also does a lot of events for their clients such as Beignet Fest and Canal Place Blogger Brunch. Rieveschl helps with events as needed. She is fully involved in the planning if necessary, or just assists the client depending on their needs. These responsibilities usually include running the show, renting whatever they need, scheduling, making sure they have drinks and food ,venues, flowers, photographers, press releases, and overall organization of the events.

Some of her other responsibilities include media buying sponsored content articles and sponsored media space. Overall Rieveschl’s job includes lots of different tasks that require her to use social media as a tool. Whether she is focused on a social media client or on a public relations task.

Public relations can be different within any company and any field. “Public relations and publicity differ in that PR is controlled internally, whereas publicity is not controlled and contributed by external parties.” The relationships are always between the client and media. “Public relation services provided by Gambel Communications include media relations, community relations, messaging, internal communications, cause marketing and partnership, and networking and introductions.”

When it comes to social media for Carlisle’s company there are different ways and strategies for different apps; because all social media platforms have different algorithms for different brands and people. For example, Facebook has a certain factor to it where the content you put out has a catch but it depends on the metrics a client is looking for. The bridge between the client and the media can be difficult to achieve and understand, so Carlisle’s company has event planning with presentations for the clients that need more assistance and more hands-on experience.

Having a certain job also determines what platform of social media will work best for you and promote your brand/content, and Gamble Communications will help with that. Instagram is made more for a younger audience, so if you are an artist wanting to place a piece of your art-work out for the world ;Instagram will possibly work best compared to someone who might be classified as a blue collar worker.

What may be between a client and the media, there is a lot that may be overlooked as to what a public relations worker must fulfill for a client needing more media information.
